Gaining Knowledge of the Kingdom of God - Seek

Put First Things First

Jesus gave us clear instructions in Matthew 6:33 when he said,  ”But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you.”

Seeking the kingdom is necessary.   It is not obvious to the natural eye.  Only those who seek will find it.  “Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened”

In Matthew 13:44 it says, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.  When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all that he had and brought that field.

Matthew 13:44  “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls, and when he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”

Seek means to pursue, study, explore, understand and to consider.

Seekers must have a desire to know and a desire to find.

Le’ts consider, have I truly been seeking the kingdom of God first.  Is His kingdom the priority in my life?

Thought:   His ways must become my ways, His thoughts must become my thoughts, His heart must become my heart.  When I seek first His Kingdom, then will I fulfill all that God has intended for me. for all things will be added unto me.
Luke 12:32  “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
