Problem - Promise - Provision

Meditation on God’s Word is one of the Keys to experiencing growth in our personal and spiritual lives.  All of us have a need to experience and see the word activated in our lives.

As we take a deeper look at meditation, begin to put them into practice and ensure that you are taking steps and moving along in the process which will bring sucess in your life.  It’s time to move from the problem, obtain the promise, and experience the provision.

The Word Meditation means “to think on”.

There are seven parts to meditation.

1) Concentration

I Timothy 4:13-16 says, “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.  Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.  Meditation upon these things; give yourself entirely to them that your progress may appear to all.  Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine for in so doing you will both save yourself and those who will hear you.”

The Greek word for Take heed is “epecho” - it means to “pay attention, to retain”

2) Repetition
Repetition has been called the mother of learning.  It has been proven that the more times you hear, see, say, or think something, the greater the percentage of learning which will occur.

The Greek word for Meditation in this verse  means “to revolve in the mind”

3) Visualization
Proverbs 29:18 says “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keeps the law, happy is he.
The word perish in the Amplified bible says - runs lawlessly, aimlessly, recklessly.

The bible tells us that whatsoever we ask in prayer, believe we receive it and we shall have it.  This let’s know that we must envision the provision or the answer before it becomes a fact.

Keep God’s promise before your eye and then you will recieve it by faith.

4) Confession
The Hebrew word for Meditation means to “mutter, to murmur”.  A vital part of learning is to speak.

Isaiah  59:21 says, “As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My Spirit that is upon you and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed’s seed, says the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.”

Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success”.

5) Memorization
Memorizating God’s Word often happens as you go through the process of the first four parts of the word meditation.

God’s Word tells us to hide His Word in our hearts that we will not sin.  By memorizing His Word it will aid in placing that Word in our hearts and be in a better advantage to remain.

6) Imagination
God has gifted man with a creative force.  We are made in His Likeness, and in His Image.  He has given us the ability to call things forth that are not as if they were.  God’s Word tells us that He has greater things for us that even our minds can comprehend.

With hearts and motives right, our God given imagination will bring forth miraculous results in bringing His Kingdom to this earth.  Remember let your heart be His heart then let your imagination bring forth greatness to every part of life.

7) Comprehension

To comprehend is to understand.  Ephesians 1:17-18 says, “That the God nof our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”

Proverbs 2:1-9  ” My son, if you will receive my words, and hide my commandments with you, so that you incline your er unto wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding; If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then shall you understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowlede and understanding.  He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous. He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.  He keeps the paths of judgements and preserves the say of His saints.  Then shall you understand righousness and judgement, and equity; yes, every good path.”

Be blessed and have good success as you MEDITATE on His Word!
