Keys to Transformation I

The Bible does not leave us without answers.  Everything that we need to know is found in the scriptures.  The first thing we need to do is to ask for Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding for without these ingrediants we are left to our own ways and build doctrines on either our thinking, understand or on the options of others.

The mystries of the Kingdom of God as referred to by Jesus, are revealed to babes.  Those who out of sincere hearts search the scriptures to know the Truth, for it is the Truth that makes us free.  All of the opinions in the world, no matter how great they may seem will never bring us to completion.  Only the Word of God, who is found in the person of Jesus Christ, will bring us to the true knowledge of God.  The scripture declares that not many might men are chosen but God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the wise.   So in our search for truth of the scripture, come before Him as a babe in Christ, humble and flexible.  Ask the Father for divine revelation and be not wise in your own eyes and opinions.  The Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher.  Ask Him to be your teacher and be ready to believe the whole Bible word for word in Spirit and in Truth.

As we read the word we can apply a very important passage of scripture which holds a key to transformation.

We read in Psalm 1: 1-3  “Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, or sits in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

According to the instructions of God’s word, the blessings come to those who meditate in God’s law.  Now we now that in the new testament, the law is now written in our hearts.  We also know that those laws are written as we hear the word.  We are told that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Let’s never confuse what meditation means.  Not as the world sees meditation, but as God has instructed.  Meditate on His Word for His Word is Truth and His Word will transform our lives.

The Word Meditation means “to think on”.

There are seven parts to meditation.

!) Concentration

2) Repetition

3) Visualization

4) Confessing

5) Memorization

6) Imagination

7) Comprehension

The process of nenewing our mind is accomplished by meditation as it releases the power of the Word which transforms our life.

Key:  Remember the Word must be heard or read.  It then has to go into the mind or heart, and then when it is established as Truth in us, we are transformed and be live it or walk it out.

Walking and talking in the Spirit then becomes a way of life and brings us into victorious living.

Next week we will explore the seven parts of meditation.

In the meantime, lay down your own opinions and the optinons of others and begin to read and study the word as a newborn babe, ready to learn.  No matter how old or how young, we can trust the the truth will remain that is hidden n your heart and vain thoughts and preconceived ideas will go as we allow the Spirit to examine and reexamine what is in us.

Truth is all that we need.  It’s time to allow God’s Word to prevail.
