Understanding The Kingdom of God and His Righetousness

Matthew 6:33  But seek first His kingdom and His righetousness, and all these things will be added to you.

It is very important for us to keep focus on these two very important things.  One, His kingdom and two, His righteousness.

What is this Kingdom that we are seeking?

The defininition of Kingdom in the Greek, means “basieleia”.  The place where the King sits.  In Hebrew it means “mamlakah” translated in Genesis 1:26 as “dominion”.  Both words mean dominion , soveriegn rule, kingdom reign or royal power.  In pratical terms, a kingdom may be defined as “the sovereign rule of a king over a territory (domain), and impacting it with his will, purpose, and intent”.

When man fell in the garden of Eden, he did not lose a religion.  Man lost his relationship with the Creator God and lost his rights and priviledges to all that God’s kingdom provided for him.  Man lost his dominion which was appointed to Him to rule and reign in the earth.

When man becomes preoccupied with religion, he loses the simplicity of relationship.  When man sins, and realizes that he is out of relationship, many times instead of running to God because of shame and condemnation, he runs from God who died for man’s sins and wants to restore him.  We must remember that we are never saved because of our goodness.  The bible says that a righteous man falls seven times a day and rises up again.  This takes away our pride.  Remember we are saved by grace through faith, not of works it is a gift of God.  We come back into communion with God simply by turning to Him and acknowledging our sin.  The scripture says that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.  Back into relationship.

Even as a small child relates to his earthly father, seeking a relationship of love and communion with him, so we desire a relationship with God.  If a child is raised in a home where the father is a hard taskmaster, he then tends to only obey that father through fear, worry, and grief.  He loses his communion with him and becomes a servant only and loses the fullfillment of being a son.

God created man to be in dominion over the earth.  When man lost his kingdom rights and priviledges because of disobedience, he lost the most important thing that man can possess and that is to know God the Father for who He is in all of His glory.  When seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, we reclaim our position, which we once lost, and receive a fresh and new the most wonderful, personal relationship with the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Our hearts become one with Him and we begin to understand that we too are Kings and Priests in the Kingdom

God’s righteousness becomes our righteousness when we give ourselves totally to communion with Him.  No more by dead works,  no more through fear, no more by our own efforts, but now through relationship.

We have been made the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

Thank you God for the Kingdom.  Let us return to seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness so God can add all things unto us.

Gaining Knowledge of the Kingdom of God - Seek

Put First Things First

Jesus gave us clear instructions in Matthew 6:33 when he said,  ”But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you.”

Seeking the kingdom is necessary.   It is not obvious to the natural eye.  Only those who seek will find it.  “Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened”

In Matthew 13:44 it says, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.  When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all that he had and brought that field.

Matthew 13:44  “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls, and when he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”

Seek means to pursue, study, explore, understand and to consider.

Seekers must have a desire to know and a desire to find.

Le’ts consider, have I truly been seeking the kingdom of God first.  Is His kingdom the priority in my life?

Thought:   His ways must become my ways, His thoughts must become my thoughts, His heart must become my heart.  When I seek first His Kingdom, then will I fulfill all that God has intended for me. for all things will be added unto me.
Luke 12:32  “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

Living in the Promised Land

You can live in the Promised Land every day of your life.  Abram passed through the land to the place at Schechem, to the oak of Moreh.  Notice he passed through the land; He kept on going.

“Schechem” means SHOULDER.  In the Hebrew it’s the Symbol of STRENGTH.   It’s not by power nor by might but by His Spirit!  Come boldy to the throne of grace where you’ll find grace (strength) to help in the time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

“Moreh” means INSTRUCTION.  It’s there, in the presence of God and in His Word that we receive wisdom and instruction.  When applied to our lives, we’ll walk in victory, ever increasing in His strength.

CONSTANT CONFLICT exists in the Promised Land.  The Canaanites, the Pagan tribes who affliced Isreal throughout history, were in the land.  This is a picture of those evils and enemies were continually wrestle against:  Lust, envy, jealousy, impatience, intemperance, irritability, touchiness, etc.

CONTINUAL CLEANSING takes place in the land.
Abram built an alter to the LORD, the symbol of worship and place of cleansing.  We must come to the altar and die to self-daily, taking up our cross to follow Him.

UNENDING CHOICE resides in the land. Abram pitched his tent between Bethel and Ai.  “Bethel” means “THE HOUSE OF GOD.”  “Ai” means RUIN.  There he made dialy decisions and choices.  Abram birthed his choices and decisions through his unwavering dedication and complete trust in God.

Walking hand in hand with God in the Promised Land brings forth our full POTENTIAL.  The word potential in the dictionary means: Possible but not yet realized - latent.  The inherent ability or capicity for growth, development, or COMING INTO BEING.  We often wonder how we can demonstrate the power of God, or how we can become the
Sons of God.  God’s plan is to cause that which is possible but not yet realized to become possible.  Following Him alone leads us to that place of relized possibilities.  Allowing Him to live His life through us is the secret of reaching our full potential.  When we connect with His power through the Holy Spirit, signs and wonders follow us (Mark 1:15-16).

The word “potential” also refers to the electrical connection in a force field that causes potential energy.  This brings understanding as to why God instructs us to walk hand in hand, not only with Him but also with the rest of the body of Christ.  Without becoming one with Him and becoming one with the body, the force field would not connect and couldn’t produce the necessary energy to get the job done.  Because of the break in the power line, there wouldn’t be enough power.

Let’s live our lives daily, making the adjustments necessary to fulfill His divine will and mission.  Let’s link together in love and watch what God will do when He is the only true “omipotent” one.    Omipotent by the way means the fullness of Potential.  Infinate in power, unlimited authority — That’s our God.

The Promised Land - Canaan

God has a Canann land for all of us.  It is a Promised Land, a place of victory and provision and abundance.

As we walk along the Christian road following Jesus, there are many truths that we need to understand.

Possessing the Promised Land is a process.  As we begin exploring how to enter the Promise Land, it important to find truths that will cause us to change from the inside out.  It is only then that the ground that we gain will be growth that will remain.

Jesus came to give us life and that more abundantly.  His promise is for all.

This week we will discover how renewing the mind, obedience, and warfare are important steps to conquering your own personal Canaan and entering into the Promised Land.

Deuteronomy 6:23-25 tells us:

“And He brought us out from thence, that He might bring us in, to give us the land which He sware unto our fathers.  And the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.  And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as He hath commanded us.”

God has brought us out of the world to bring us into the promised land.  This is a place of spritual victory.
Verses 24-25  tells us that we cross over into our promised land by observing to do all His commandments.  Observing means to pay close attention to.  To look at something with observation.  When we take heed to his word and follow his commandments then victory and success is what He has for us.  Obedience to His will is key.

Deuteronomy 7:1 says,

“When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations befoe thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou.”

The Hebrew word for “possess” means “to occupy by driving out the previous tenants and possessing in their place, to seize, cast out, expel.”

Beginning this journey into the Promised Land begins in the mind. in the thought life.    As we obey Romans 12 present ourselves as living sacrifices, wholly and acceptable to God and take time to renew our minds according to His Word. we walk on the road to victory.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says:

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:   For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself agains the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

We must pull down the strongholds in our minds and cast down all unrenewed, unscriptural, ungodly thoughts that are there.  Remember Jesus told us to take up our cross daily and follow Him.

Begin today to renew your mind according to the Word.  The Bible tells us that His thoughts are not our thoughts.  We have so many opinions.  It’s time to look deep into God’s Word and make His truth our opinion.

Allow Him to take you through the process of change and be on your way into your Promised Land.

Victorious Through Trials

Several years ago the Lord spoke to me and said,  “my people are battled scared but they have nothing to show for it.”  As He shared that with me, I began to look around.  You know when God is dealing with you on something; your eyes start to open to the thing He is bringing attention to.   You can see into people’s lives sometimes, you can see into their circumstances, and you might even see into the spirit realm, and you can see that they are surrounded with happenings and you can see kind of what is happening in their life.  Their words are kind of shallow.  They might say that this has happened and they begin to cry and weep, and they say that that has happened and they say oh well, I guess I’ll get through it if I just hold on long enough I know that I can make it through.  You begin to look at your own circumstances with new understanding.

But at that time I began to realize that many people didn’t even realize what was going on in their lives, all they knew is that they were going through a hard time in and they were desperately trying to hold onto Jesus, and just hold onto their promises.

We are in a time and in a day that God is revealing to the Body of Christ what is going on and we don’t have to blindly walk through circumstances any more.  We don’t have to go day by day without recognizing and understanding that everything that happens in our life is for a purpose.

We are God’s children.  Now if you are a child and you have a good father and mother, we know they are taking care of us. What they prepare for us on a daily basis is good for us.  They have taken time to be sure that you have the clothing proper for the day and that we start out with a healthy breakfast. They make sure we have a nourishing lunch, they make sure that everything is in order and at the end of the day, we know we were well taken care of.

It is the same way with God.  But many of us did not know that.  When we got up in the morning, we didn’t realize that God had already prepared our day for us.  We didn’t recognize that He was the one in control of everything that happened to us.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

We need to recognize when we are going through a period of testing and trial.  Every part of our life is in a season.  In Eccellasties it tells of the times and the seasons.  Every season in life is for a purpose in the life of each individual.  Every season has a very significant key to life in it.  Now that we are Christians we do not just idly walk along.  We might think we are but God never intended it to be that way.

Every season that we go through has a specific purpose and that purpose in that season is to bring forth fruit, and that the fruit that will remain.  At the end of that season that we went through, we should know what happened to us.  We should recognize how we changed, how we grew, how that area in our life that before we could not overcome, was now healed.  There are many things that might happen during the various seasons of life. It is important to recognize the seasons and then to be victorious in the various seasons.

We do not have time to keep running around in the trials and being trapped in the trials, but rather come out in a newness of life in Christ as a result of the season and trial.

Today we will learn that we need to recognize a test.  “A colorful pattern appears on the TV set, accompanied by a chilling high pitched sound.  After getting everyone’s attention the announcer verifies this has been a test of the emergency broadcast system, I repeat, this is only a test.

Wouldn’t it be helpful if our trials were preceded by an announcement, this is only a test brought to you by the Heavenly Development System?  The challenge of life’s test is that they often catch us off guard.

We are usually not expecting them.  Of the tests come in disguise, even if we are alert we often do not recognize them.  This lack of recognition is one of the reasons people do not pass the test.  We must recognize the fact that life is a test and that we go through test after test after test.

James 1:12

“Blessed is a man who preservers under trials, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.  There are trials and there are tests.”

KJ” Blessed is the man when he preservers under temptation for when he is tried he will receive a crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those that love Him.”

What is a trial?  The word says blessed is the man who endures.  The word endures means to stay under or behind.  It means to remain, to undergo, to bear, to have fortitude, to preserver, to abide, to endure, to be patient to suffer and to tarry behind.

It is interesting when you look up the word trial and find that it means trustworthiness.  It means experience, proof, acceptable, approved, a testing, a trying.

We must trust God in a trial.  A trial is to bring righteousness.  A trail is to bring peace.  A trial is to bring to us the good things.  So in our experience and in the time of trusting there is proof that God will fulfill what He had meant to happen.  In a trial, we must endure, and stay in the trial in order to produce.  We must not look for a way out; we must walk through the trial.  Now the trial will produce life in you and strength.

A trial
means simply a test.  A place to stand
.

There is a difference between a temptation and a trial.

Temptation means, the putting to proof of good, experience of evil.  Solicitation, discipline, provocation, adversity, temptation by trying.

What is the reward for passing the test?

When you have persevered, or endured, or you have endured under temptation, you will receive a crown of life.

Perfect Peace

Phillipians 4:6-9   “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Those things, which you have and both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do; and the God of peace shall be with you.”

As we read this passage we will note that prayer is an answer to peace.  Of course when we pray we must believe that God will do what we ask or peace will never come.  Another answer to finding peace is after we have prayed and believed we must think on good things.  If we truly believe that God only has good things for His children then it will be easier for us to think on good things.  The question is, do we understand the true nature of God?  Isn’t He the one that said that He gives us a future and a hope?

Isaiah 26:3 “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee; because he trustest in Thee.”

God is trustworthy.  When all else fails, when no one understands, when no one else is there, God is always there.  He will never leave you nor forsake you.  This truth must be deep within your heart and mind.  When it is, peace, perfect peace will come regardless of the circumstances of life.

The thoughts that come into your mind may come from yourself, from God or from Satan.  Learn to recognize and get to know your own personal thought life.  Take time today to examine what you have been thinking on.  Your future peace depends on it.  Learn to take your thoughts captive to the Word of God, learn to draw near to God, resist the devil and he will flee.  Learn to take God at His Word and believe and trust Him.

Verse 6 tells us do not worry or be anxious about anything, but to pray about everything.  As you cast your cares onto the faithful Lord that releases His peace in your life.  After you pray you must stand in faith and trust in God’s Word.

Now think on these things, whatsoever is:

1.   True
2.   Honest
3.   Just
4.   Pure
5.   Lovely
6.   Good Report
7.   Virtuous
8.   Praise

Perfect Peace is what God has for all of His children.   When you are in a difficult situation remember Peter who was at peace even as he was stoned.  Think on Daniel in the Lions den.  Remember the firey furnace.  If you do not have peace today, ask God to help you know Him for who He is, and to understand His great love for you.  Begin to develop a prayer life of expectation and trust.  God said that He would perfect the things that concern you.  He is in the process of doing just that.  Remember all things work together for good to those that love God and are the called according to His purpose.

He that has begun a good work in you will continue to perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Live today, today!  Enjoy life, it is God’s will.  “I will keep him in perfect peace whos mind is stayed on me”

Dressed For Battle

God’s Word is the Final Authority.  It cannot be emphasized enough as those of us who profess to be followers of Jesus must then, just as Jesus did, understand that what God has said is the final authority.

Too many times as Christians we are double minded.   There are times that we do not understand the principles of God that are written in His Word and therefore we decide to choose what we think to be a better way.  We somehow forget that His thoughts are not our thoughts and that His ways are higher than ours.

The mind is the battle field.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 amp.   “For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.  For the weapons of our warfare are not physical (weapons of flesh and blood), but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.  (Inasmuch as we) refute arguments and theories and reasons and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the (true) knowledge of God; and we lead every thought captive into the obedience of Christ  (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

We are not in battle with people.  To remember this is extremely important, especially when engaged in battle.  We must remember that we are in a spiritual war.  We are the target.  Our minds are challenged by thoughts, reasoning, temptations and everything that opposes the truth of God.  Because many times we do not have the truth in our minds or when we are in rebellion, or doubt that the word of God is the best solution to win the battle, we open a door to deception.  This thought then becomes a stronghold.  It is made up of wrong thinking patterns and attitudes.

What we are instructed to do is to cast down imaginations.  The Greek word for “cast down” means “to violently demolish, to destroy.”   The word “imagination” means “to reason or think.”  We must know the truth of the word so that we can destroy everything that is not truth.  Everything that is not in line with the word of God is to be violently destroyed.  It is so imperative that we understand the consequences of not taking such a stand that we give to room for thoughts that are against the word of God to become a part of our thinking therefore setting the course for our life.

One of our worst enemies is the lack of knowledge, through which people are destroyed.  When Jesus said you will know the truth and the truth will make you free, he was referring to THE TRUTH THAT YOU KNOW.

To know something is having your mind fixed upon it.  There is no being swayed from it.   Remember there is only ONE truth.  Not just knowledge of that truth makes you from, but making that truth the foundation on which you build your decisions and your life.

God’s word is infallible.  It is the only truth.  Ask God for revelation from the Holy Spirit to understand the word of God so that you will win the Battle of the Mind.

This is the beginning of being Dressed For Battle and ready to win every time!

Problem - Promise - Provision

Meditation on God’s Word is one of the Keys to experiencing growth in our personal and spiritual lives.  All of us have a need to experience and see the word activated in our lives.

As we take a deeper look at meditation, begin to put them into practice and ensure that you are taking steps and moving along in the process which will bring sucess in your life.  It’s time to move from the problem, obtain the promise, and experience the provision.

The Word Meditation means “to think on”.

There are seven parts to meditation.

1) Concentration

I Timothy 4:13-16 says, “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.  Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.  Meditation upon these things; give yourself entirely to them that your progress may appear to all.  Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine for in so doing you will both save yourself and those who will hear you.”

The Greek word for Take heed is “epecho” - it means to “pay attention, to retain”

2) Repetition
Repetition has been called the mother of learning.  It has been proven that the more times you hear, see, say, or think something, the greater the percentage of learning which will occur.

The Greek word for Meditation in this verse  means “to revolve in the mind”

3) Visualization
Proverbs 29:18 says “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keeps the law, happy is he.
The word perish in the Amplified bible says - runs lawlessly, aimlessly, recklessly.

The bible tells us that whatsoever we ask in prayer, believe we receive it and we shall have it.  This let’s know that we must envision the provision or the answer before it becomes a fact.

Keep God’s promise before your eye and then you will recieve it by faith.

4) Confession
The Hebrew word for Meditation means to “mutter, to murmur”.  A vital part of learning is to speak.

Isaiah  59:21 says, “As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My Spirit that is upon you and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed’s seed, says the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.”

Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success”.

5) Memorization
Memorizating God’s Word often happens as you go through the process of the first four parts of the word meditation.

God’s Word tells us to hide His Word in our hearts that we will not sin.  By memorizing His Word it will aid in placing that Word in our hearts and be in a better advantage to remain.

6) Imagination
God has gifted man with a creative force.  We are made in His Likeness, and in His Image.  He has given us the ability to call things forth that are not as if they were.  God’s Word tells us that He has greater things for us that even our minds can comprehend.

With hearts and motives right, our God given imagination will bring forth miraculous results in bringing His Kingdom to this earth.  Remember let your heart be His heart then let your imagination bring forth greatness to every part of life.

7) Comprehension

To comprehend is to understand.  Ephesians 1:17-18 says, “That the God nof our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”

Proverbs 2:1-9  ” My son, if you will receive my words, and hide my commandments with you, so that you incline your er unto wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding; If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then shall you understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowlede and understanding.  He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous. He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.  He keeps the paths of judgements and preserves the say of His saints.  Then shall you understand righousness and judgement, and equity; yes, every good path.”

Be blessed and have good success as you MEDITATE on His Word!

Keys to Transformation I

The Bible does not leave us without answers.  Everything that we need to know is found in the scriptures.  The first thing we need to do is to ask for Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding for without these ingrediants we are left to our own ways and build doctrines on either our thinking, understand or on the options of others.

The mystries of the Kingdom of God as referred to by Jesus, are revealed to babes.  Those who out of sincere hearts search the scriptures to know the Truth, for it is the Truth that makes us free.  All of the opinions in the world, no matter how great they may seem will never bring us to completion.  Only the Word of God, who is found in the person of Jesus Christ, will bring us to the true knowledge of God.  The scripture declares that not many might men are chosen but God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the wise.   So in our search for truth of the scripture, come before Him as a babe in Christ, humble and flexible.  Ask the Father for divine revelation and be not wise in your own eyes and opinions.  The Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher.  Ask Him to be your teacher and be ready to believe the whole Bible word for word in Spirit and in Truth.

As we read the word we can apply a very important passage of scripture which holds a key to transformation.

We read in Psalm 1: 1-3  “Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, or sits in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

According to the instructions of God’s word, the blessings come to those who meditate in God’s law.  Now we now that in the new testament, the law is now written in our hearts.  We also know that those laws are written as we hear the word.  We are told that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Let’s never confuse what meditation means.  Not as the world sees meditation, but as God has instructed.  Meditate on His Word for His Word is Truth and His Word will transform our lives.

The Word Meditation means “to think on”.

There are seven parts to meditation.

!) Concentration

2) Repetition

3) Visualization

4) Confessing

5) Memorization

6) Imagination

7) Comprehension

The process of nenewing our mind is accomplished by meditation as it releases the power of the Word which transforms our life.

Key:  Remember the Word must be heard or read.  It then has to go into the mind or heart, and then when it is established as Truth in us, we are transformed and be live it or walk it out.

Walking and talking in the Spirit then becomes a way of life and brings us into victorious living.

Next week we will explore the seven parts of meditation.

In the meantime, lay down your own opinions and the optinons of others and begin to read and study the word as a newborn babe, ready to learn.  No matter how old or how young, we can trust the the truth will remain that is hidden n your heart and vain thoughts and preconceived ideas will go as we allow the Spirit to examine and reexamine what is in us.

Truth is all that we need.  It’s time to allow God’s Word to prevail.

The Divine Nature

 www.whirlwindmin.org

Thank God that He has not left us alone to try to walk the Christian walk by ourselves, through a list of rules and regulations.  Rather, when we come to Him and when we partake of His Word, His laws are written in our heart.

Now it is up to us.  Who are we going to yeild to?  His words, which bring life? or to our own desires, our flesh, which brings death.  God’s way is not designed to be difficult for He has paved a plain path for us.  Although in this life we will always have struggles, His Word declares that “many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all”.

As we study the Divine Nature, let’s get ahold of a few nuggets that will bring understanding which will begin to change our thought patterns and bring us into walking in the Spirit.

As we remember, we are not being conformed to this world but being transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Psalms 19:7-8  says “The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul:  the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.  The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.”

The word “converting” means “restoring”.  The Word of the Lord restores our soul.  God’s Word heals our soul.  It rebuilds our emotional life.  It heals our will and makes it strong in the ways of God.  God wants to heal mankind and the healing He has for us comes from His Word.   We pray, let your will become my will.

Proverbs 4:20-23 reads “My son attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.   Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

The word “health” in this scripture is translated as “medicine”.  The Word brings life and health to those who fill their heart with it.  We are told to guard our heart.  What proceeds out of our life flows out because of what we have allowed into our heart.  If we allow God’s Word to change our heart and thoughts, our whole lives will change.

It’s God’s Word that is full of healing, restoring power.  Psalms 107:20 says “He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from all their destructions.”

Here’s the good news for us — 2 Peter 1:2-4  “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

God has given us every answer for our lives.  Everything we need for life, for our natural, pratical, physical life and for our spiritual life, our walk with God which is given to us through His Word.

The divine nature is for us and by receiving it, by taking heed to His word.  We are given the enablement to walk the Christian walk and to live by His life.  By receiving His precious promises, then we become partakers of the divine nature.  The word “divine” means “of God”.  The word “nature” means “growth by germination or expansion.”  We become partakers of God’s growth process by assimilating the promises of God into our heart.  What an incredible promise.  God is sharing His life by His Word.  Jesus is the living Word of God.

The life that I now live, I live by the faith of Jesus Christ.

In Him I live and move and have my being.

Christ in me the hope of glory.

Lets walk today in Spirit and in Truth!
